Karachi: Reimagining the City

I speak to Rida Arif and Samirah Siddiqui about our experiences of Karachi. We spoke about how the food landscape is shaped by the different communities that have made Karachi home. Samirah described her perspective on the seascape along the Sindh coastline. We then went onto reminisce about our food memories that have come to shape our personal imagining of Karachi.

Rida Arif (@ridaarif) is a Heritage Management Consultant at UNESCO. Her portfolio as a Cultural Heritage professional spans across the Development Sector, International Organisations, Donors and government stakeholders on community led development.

Samirah Siddiqui (@sndwtch) is the Programme Coordinator at the Global Environment Network. She is a conservation and sustainability specialist, with experience working with businesses and NGOs in Pakistan, and the UK.

Thank you to both Rida and Samirah for sharing their photographs and video content. The conversation was actually double the length of time and we shared some very interesting ideas!
