The Bun Kabab is a speciality at Empress Market. Referred to as the Pakistan burger, the Bun Kabab originates from the city streets of Karachi. Traditional fillings served with homemade coriander chutney, tamarind sauce, yoghurt raita and salad in a toasted brioche bun.

Pakistani home-cooking is a major part of Empress Market. The recipes have been inherited by Numra's nan and her childhood growing up in Pakistan. The coriander chutney has been handed down through matriarchal generations and the garam masala is a family blend of whole spices.
