The menu at Empress Market is a personal exploration of Pakistan’s diverse culinary heritage.

The Bun Kabab is a speciality at Empress Market. This famous street food of Karachi, the ‘anday wala burger’ is a fusion of South flavours and modern urban food. Traditional fillings served with homemade coriander chutney, tamarind sauce, yoghurt raita and salad in a toasted brioche bun.

Pakistani home-cooking is a major part of Empress Market. The recipes have been inherited by Numra's nan and her childhood growing up in Pakistan. The coriander chutney has been handed down through generations and even the garam masala spice blend is a matriarchal right of passage in Numra’s family.

Numra follows her grandmother’s recipes using local produce and quality Asian spices. Slow cooking techniques keep the food healthy yet packed with layers of intense flavour. The menu has an emphasis on healthy eating with a strong vegan selection and seasonal dishes.
