The menu at Empress Market is a personal exploration of Pakistan’s diverse culinary heritage.
The dishes are cooked using the best local produce and quality Asian spices. Traditional slow cooking techniques keep the food healthy yet packed with layers of intense flavour.
The Bun Kabab is a speciality at Empress Market. Referred to as the Pakistan burger, the Bun Kabab originates from the city streets of Karachi. Traditional fillings served with homemade coriander chutney, tamarind sauce, yoghurt raita and salad in a toasted brioche bun.
Pakistani home-cooking is a major part of Empress Market. I've inherited her recipes and love for food from my grandmother. The coriander chutney has been handed down through matriarchal generations and the garam masala is a family blend of whole spices.
